The Edinburgh book festival 2004 was visited by over 200,000 people. The Edinburgh Book Festival was established in 1983. Held this year at the Charlotte Square Gardens, the Edinburgh Book festival had a successful 21st birthday celebration this year. With special visits from JK Rowling, Muriel Spark and Toni Morrison, the book festival this year was a resounding success.
