Liverpool Community College

The college was established in April 1991 by the amalgamation of four former further education colleges. The Liverpool community college has an unbroken tradition back to the beginnings of universal education in the nineteenth century.


Today, it is one of the largest colleges in UK with around 20,000 students and more than 1,000 staff. The College has got six main centres, two recently opened and two refurbished. Three main buildings are in the centre of Liverpool. Each centre has vocational subjects as well as general education courses.


The Liverpool Community College, offers courses on visual and performing arts, including photography, media and journalism, Business studies, Construction, Engineering, Health care, Sciences, Languages and Teacher Education. The college offers courses at all levels up to Post graduation.


The College has links with local Universities like Liverpool John Moores University. The college provides more than 500 academic and vocational courses for more than 26,000 students each year. The programmes range from basic skills to higher education qualifications.
